When you’re starting out, and you’re creating your business’s brand, you may be overwhelmed by the decisions required to develop your brand.
Decisions that will make you stand out from the rest. Choices that will drive your brand’s success.
What are “your” colours? What would be a cool Logo? What should your tagline be?
But first, you need to ask yourself a few crucial questions.
- What problem are you solving?
- What need are you fulfilling?
- Who are you helping?
- How are you unique from your competition?
- Who is your competition?
- What is your story?
- Why this?
- Why you?
- Why now?
Use the above questions to get started.
Take each question and write out everything you can to answer it. Then go back and pull the top points from each answer to create one paragraph per question.
Finally, review each section and form one summary sentence for each item.
Now you have a simplified, workable, starting point. The rest can now start falling into place.
Good luck.
That’s a lot of questions… Wow..
I actually never thought about branding… or those questions.
With my blog I just… write…
I think I need to rebrand 🙂
Thanks for the share.

Thanks for dropping by Engin. Keep in mind I’m talking about businesses in this post. I’m not sure if that applies to you or not.
Hi Amanda,
Establishing a brand identity seems very easy, but when you get into it, you find out that there is more to it than meets the eye. For instance, you just hit a point that has been troubling me since ever-a logo for your brand. It has taken me longer than I imagine to come up with a brand logo that connects with my brand. However, your tips are valuable. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for dropping by and adding your thoughts, Moss. It’s funny because I’m also stuck on finding a good logo.
Have a great day 😀
